A model turned photographer in 2007, he discovered a passion for videography and video editing that led to the founding of his own company, Paper St Production, in 2013. With a dedication to honing his craft, he expanded his expertise to directing commercials for multinational companies. A certified Final Cut Pro X editor and licensed drone pilot, Gerald has worked with celebrities and influential figures, bringing a unique vision to every project.
Co-founder of Ayo, an innovative advertising agency, and The Podtruck, the first roving podcast studio in the country, he continues to push creative boundaries. His ventures also include producing his own podcast show, and his latest foray into music production demonstrates his ever-evolving artistry and commitment to storytelling.
Gerald directed a documentary titled *Kaugmaon* ("For the Future") about Bantayan Island and climate change, in
collaboration with Arthaland and WWF. The documentary was featured on CNN, ABS-CBN, and in the Manila
Bulletin, and was also an entry at the San Francisco Film Festival. It gained millions of views.

The podcast started with a fateful call by
Gerald asking Brien “Do you want to
start a podcast called Life Over Whiskey.
And the rest is history.
Since the inception of Life Over Whiskey,
they have been partnering with brands
notably — Charles and James by
Emperador, Shure Microphones, Don
Benitos, Good Mafia, Baguio Balm,
Maharlika, and many more.
Ever since, Gerald and Brien continuously try new things and seek
to push the envelope of how podcasts can be made. Hence the
birth of PodTruck. An on-the-go podcast truck which aims to bring
the power of podcasts to amplify your brand message and be
heard.
Joined by their passion in video production, Gerald
Esmailzadeh and Brien Ordiales started Life Over Whiskey
Podcast. A show that aims to share real life stories and
lessons that people can learn from over a glass of
whiskey.
